BTS Sport

Troubleshooting

Why is my BTS Sport not pairing?

Your BTS Sport is not pairing with your device because you are most likely not in Pair Mode but rather in Power On Mode. You must turn off your BTS Sport first by holding down the MFC button for 3-5 seconds until you see ONLY the flashing red LED light. Your BTS Sport is now off.

After the headphones are powered off, hold the MFC button down until both blue and red LED lights begin to flash (about 8 seconds). You are now in Pair Mode.

I am having connection issues, what do I do?

Connection issues are most often caused by the source device transmitting the music or voice audio. Certain devices, especially legacy smartphones, have Bluetooth radios that transmit less power and therefore can decrease the operating range of the BTS Sport. Heavy protective cases also interfere with Bluetooth reception and are not recommended for optimal operation.

If you are experiencing connection issues, we recommend you take the following steps to reset your Bluetooth settings on-board your smart devices. Un-pairing your BTS Sport and re-pairing it after restarting your smart device is always recommended as a first step.

For Android device, clearing your Bluetooth cache will often solve connection problems. To reset your Bluetooth cache, please take the following steps: On your Android device scroll to Settings > Apps > Scroll over to All > Choose Bluetooth Share and tap on Clear Cache. After the cache has been cleared, simply restart your smartphone.

For iOS devices, resetting network settings will often solve connection problems. To reset your Network Settings, please take the following steps: On your iOS device scroll to Settings > General > Reset > and tap Reset Network Settings. After the network settings have been reset, simply restart your smartphone and pair your BTS Sport.

My BTS Sport is not powering on

There are a few reasons why your BTS Sport might not be powering on. Before contacting our support team please ensure your BTS Sport is plugged in and charging for at least 3 hours using the provided Micro-USB charging cable.

The red LED light will illuminate to indicate active charging. If the LED does not illuminate please try a different USB cable and/or USB outlet. Some USB outlets do not provide enough power to charge electronics and are for data transfer only.

If your BTS Sport does not power on after being connected to a charger for 3 hours, please contact us directly at [email protected] and we'll take care of any issues you are experiencing.

I am getting a beep but my battery is full, what’s going on?

If you are paired with two devices simultaneously using Multipoint Technology and go out of range of one device, your BTS Sport will intermittently beep to notify you that you are out of range. In order to prevent this, simply un-pair from the device you’re not using at the time (often your second device in Multipoint operation).

How do I reset my BTS Sport?

Sometimes, it might be necessary to reset your BTS Sport to factory default settings if you are experiencing problems using the BTS Sport with your PC or Smartphone. To reset your BTS Sport please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure the BTS Sport is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the +, - and MFC buttons at the same time for 20 seconds. Your BTS Sport is now reset.

(On some older versions of the BTS Sport, a blue LED will flash twice confirming the reset. Newer models do not flash when the reset has occurred.)
